I wonder how many couples were getting married the last weekend in May? It is, I think one of the busiest weekends of the year for couples to get married. Save the Date is very much in use months in advance for this Saturday.
I had the fun and excitement of having the Bride to be and her lovely extended family and friends to stay, in the build up to her big day on the Saturday.
I also had to cope with escaping and leaving my 16 year old boys in charge of the Wedding Breakfast as I had a very important wedding to attend in Kent… my boyfriend’s daughter was getting married.
The weather did everything it was meant to do…. it finally came good on the day!! After torrential rain on the Friday and the Sunday.
The boys did everything they were meant to do…. they did a fantastic job of coping with the comings and goings of photographers, video people, make up artists etc and the wedding breakfast was such a success they got a good tip!!
There is something about weddings that are so special and wonderful. Is it the fact that you are watching two people making a commitment for life that they are now embarking on a joint journey and all that life throws at them?
May it be happiness, health and wealth to both Lottie and James and Ash and Jordi!!
